Winter White
Description
Fresh from the studio, these flowers came out of a white powder-coated gas cylinder — a material that’s about as far from a garden as you can get.
Cut by hand, each petal carries a burnt edge where the plasma has passed through, leaving a fine rust line that traces the shape. Clean white against a slightly weathered outline.
Ranging from around 340mm to 500mm across, each flower has enough presence to stand on its own, but they really come into their own in a small group.
White Winter isn’t about the literal season so much as the feeling of it — those shorter days, the grey skies, the cold that settles in.
And then something simple catching the light and lifting everything around it.
Set against green, they bring a brightness that cuts through that quieter time of year.
Each flower is slightly different in shape, with hand-formed stamens at the centre.
They’re sold individually, so you can build your own cluster — two, three, or a full bunch — depending on the space.
Like most of the work here, they started life doing something else entirely.
Now they just sit quietly in the garden and do what flowers do best.
