    The Bee Watering Hole
    Description
    Sometimes things just work.
    A mate unloads a random bit of rust from his car and i clean it up to find a beautiful industrial pump from a Swedish company called Viking who have been around since 1911.
    A visit to fellow artisan/stonemason Luke Doyle and I discover the perfect piece of carved stone with bee steps.
    We fabricated a heavy purpose made base and a new/old timber handle to finish it off.
    I love blending materials and artists and feel like Viking Pumps needs to be equally credited because whoever was responsible for the aesthetic of this old bit of steel was an artist in his or her own right as well.
    Dimensions
    Stone vessel 37cm x 37cm overall length is 70cm and height from the ground to the lip of the stone is 75cm.
