About This Project

The Salvaged Circle
Description
This piece began as part of an old diesel storage tank — heavy, practical, and built purely for function. I’ve reworked it into a living sculpture, giving the steel a second life as a circular planter and focal point.
Sections of reclaimed lattice steel break the clean line of the ring, adding movement and energy. Plantings soften the form and continue the transformation from industrial to organic.
At the centre sits a hand-made clear glass disc, slumped and kiln-formed, then detailed by hand. It catches and holds the light, creating a quiet contrast with the rugged steel that surrounds it.
Like much of my work, it’s about renewal — not hiding the past, but building something beautiful from it..
