The ‘Chain Ring Cauldron’
Description
A serious statement piece the Chain Ring Cauldron is one of the most extreme fire pits we’ve made to date and we are so happy with it!
Every bit of it is reclaimed steel from heavy industrial scrap.
This 10mm thick hand riveted cauldron is hung from big chains and hooks in a reclaimed excavator track chains painstakingly welded from both sides into perfect circles.
Rather than using a base made to hide a bury, this base is a large reclaimed excavator sprocket used to drive chains like these.
This Cauldron started out life as ship steel, then when the ship was scrapped, the steel was used to make this huge cooking pot for Indian street food before it made its way to Tread Sculptures.
You really need to stand infant of this brutalist sculpture to get its full impact!
