Description
Rain and sunlight at the same time.
Three glass vessels spill water in shifting streams, dripping like rain through reclaimed steel chains. A play between strength and fragility, flow and stillness.
It’s a work about opposites sitting side by side — strength and fragility, stillness and flow, rain and sun.
Sunshower is an absolute one off and is the first in a new style of water feature.
The idea of this piece was to design a glass vessel that has a deep rippled rim that allows water to run out around the diameter where the surface tension pulls it under to the glass to drip off the bottom creating the appearance and sound of rain.
