Reclaimed Song
Description
This sculptural bell is formed entirely from reclaimed steel, built on a strong grounded base and rising into a curved arm that carries the bell clear in space. A blacksmith-style vine winds its way up through the structure, wrapping over the arc and finishing near the bell with individually hand-cut and shaped steel leaves.
The contrast is intentional — solid industrial material paired with organic growth and movement.
When rung, the bell produces a deep, lingering resonance that hangs in the air well after the strike. I never get tired of that moment — heavy material, gentle sound.
Like much of my work, this piece is about transformation — reclaimed steel given a new voice and a new purpose.
