Poppy Planters
Description
This piece is as much a sculpture as it is a planter.
It’s hard to believe that steel was ever used as a material for fishing floats but that information comes from a reliable source.
The importer had never seen these before so when he got his hand on a few he put them aside for me straight away.
They are a thick heavy steel, and it was a challenge to bend the cut pieces back. Maybe they had an industrial paint finish when they where first made….
Either way I was glad to get them and I look forward to seeing them with the plants thriving and hanging down.
They would make a great centre piece in an area of garden where they can be seen from all sides.
