Description
Some of nature’s most extraordinary beauty begins with imperfection.
The rare half-moon Monstera owes its striking appearance to a natural mutation. One half of each leaf is rich green, the other brilliant white. Two completely different halves, each relying on the other to create something remarkable.
That simple idea became the inspiration for this sculpture.
Rob Haley handcrafted every glass leaf, carefully recreating the extraordinary contrast found in nature. As the sculpture evolved, my focus became something different.
Polished stainless steel branches that lift the leaves into the light, contrasted against a frame of reclaimed rusted and galvanised steel.
Different materials. Different histories. Different qualities. None competing. Each allowing the others to shine.
Perfect suited for indoors or outdoors.
