About This Project

Melbourne Grammar No.2
Description
This special piece is the second collaboration with two Nillumbik Artists that are new to the Tread Sculptures team. Luke Doyle from the Bend of Island is a stonemason that has spent his career doing restoration work on iconic Australian buildings. Luke recovered this roof gable stone whilst working on Melbourne Grammar and has carved out the underside as a birdbath with bee steps. Paul Cacioli is a renowned Eltham Blacksmith who forged the steel rope like brackets rings and mounts to hang the vessel. Tim did the gothic stand and mounting to finish it off.
