Making Tracks Fire Pit
Description
This 4mm thick spun steel fire fit is set in a reclaimed excavator track chain painstakingly welded from both sides into a perfect circle.
Rather than using a base made to hide a bury, this base was one of three rolling trench wheels mounted together and used to compact trenches on a 30-ton excavator.
This piece is as much a sculpture as a fire pit and even serves as an outside table with a lid on it in the warmer months.
