Luna Drift
Description
This piece was eight weeks in the making.
Rob pushed the limits of glass and the kiln to create a detailed moon surface from powder,
then slumped clear glass over it to capture every handmade detail.
We fabricated the base using a reclaimed metal spinning,
and finished it with a heavy toughened glass top that floats just above the moon surface.
While it works as a practical tabletop, the space between the two layers adds something more — some quiet, a space to think.
