Look Down
Description
Look Down is a reflection on many popular religions around the world and their preoccupation with heaven and the afterlife instead of putting their passion and energy into the here and now by looking after our planet and the humans that live on it. Sculpted from reclaimed and new mild steel and reclaimed stainless steel spun for the food industry.
The handmade kiln cast by glass artist Rob Hayley is made of hundreds of slithers of glass arranged to form this stunning piece of slumped glass that is up to 50mm thick in parts and shows energy lines through the section where the arrow passes.
