Helios Ring
Description
The ancient Greek God of the sun Helios drove a chariot of fire across the sky each day.
This reclaimed gear came from a 15ton tower crane. It was a very heavy and dirty job to seperate the 2 rings, clean all the grease off, weld it back together and then sculpt it into a fire pit. The massive gear that forms the base weighs 160kg on its own and came from a decommissioned concrete plant.
All the work was worth it though now that I can enjoy the finished piece.
