Enso
Description
‘Enso’ A sacred symbol in Zen Buddhism meaning circle, or sometimes circle of togetherness.
The heavy fabrication of this piece was sculpted a few months ago and has been resting in the boneyard awaiting its time in the studio.
A blend of new and reclaimed steel, the standout material to me, is the large spun metal donut in the centre which allow light up and through the glass birdbath, and it will also allow the plants to cascade down through the middle of the donut as well as over the outside edge.
It has a imposing presence that is softled by the handmade glass and the plants.
It would make a standout centrepiece in a garden and would be further softened with lots of greenery around it.
I think the small birds will especially love this one when the garden is surrounding the water.
