‘Bush Chorus’ Rain Song
Description
This new ‘Bush Chorus’ Rain Song began with a simple client request — could we bring the gum leaf detail from our smaller Alkira pieces into a full-sized Rain Song water feature?
We said yes… and then happily got a bit carried away.
Hand-made glass gum leaves and blossoms are now worked into the steel, catching the light and sitting beautifully alongside the sound of falling water.
The idea of this piece was to design a glass vessel that has a deep rippled rim that allows water to run out around the diameter where the surface tension pulls it under to the glass to drip off the bottom creating the appearance and sound of rain.
